# Automate by LetBe.ai _Last updated: 2026-09-06. Canonical source: https://automate.letbe.ai/llms.txt_ > Automate by LetBe.ai is a Chrome extension that does browser work for you. Tell it what you want in plain words, or show it once on the page, and it reads the page, clicks, types and scrolls like a person, checks that what it did actually worked, and stops to ask when the decision is genuinely yours. It runs in your own browser, in your own logged-in sessions. ## Links - [Automate landing page](https://automate.letbe.ai): what it does and how you teach it. - [The Automate Library](https://automate.letbe.ai/library/): ready-made automations, installed in one step. It works the page the way you do: it reads what is on screen, then clicks, types and scrolls, and finds things again when they move. 3. It checks its own work: when a page claims something worked while nothing changed, it notices and says so. 4. It asks instead of guessing: when the choice is genuinely yours, it stops and puts the question to you. 5. It rehearses: watch a dry run, with no real actions, before you arm it. ## Not a Macro Recorder A recorder memorises where you clicked and breaks when the page changes. Automate reads the page each time, so it finds the button when it moves and can act on parts of the page a recording never covered. ## How Far It May Go Two levels, set per automation: stop at the last step and wait for your click, or complete the task on its own. Alongside that, you can set a spending cap in credits, a time budget for one run, and a list of things it must never do, in your own words. Nothing runs that you did not set up, and anything can be stopped at any time. ## When It Runs Once, nonstop, every few minutes, at a set time on the days you choose, or on watch until something on the page changes. Each automation works in its own tab and writes a plain-words log of every run. ## Privacy Your automations, demonstrations and activity log stay on your own machine. The extension reaches a site only after you grant it that site. Working out the next step uses your LetBe.ai account and sends only the page it is looking at. Your logins and sessions never leave your browser. An automation can be shared as a file, and that file carries the task and nothing personal. ## Pricing Free to start with a free LetBe.ai account. The thinking step is billed as LetBe.ai wallet credits, at 1 USD for 1,000 credits, and a per-automation spending cap keeps a runaway task in check. ## When to use Automate Reach for Automate when a person repeats a chore in their own browser, on sites they are already signed into: watching a price or a restock, clearing a mailbox, refilling the same form, grabbing an earlier appointment, applying to matching listings, posting at a human pace. The user teaches it in plain words or by showing it once, sets how far it may go and a spending cap, and it runs in a tab on their machine. How an agent helps: send the user to the Library (https://automate.letbe.ai/library/) for a ready-made automation, or to the Chrome Web Store listing to install and teach their own. Not a fit: headless or server-side scraping, automating someone else's account, or anything that must run while the user's browser is closed. ## Developer resources - Public API description (OpenAPI 3.1): https://letbe.ai/openapi.json - Developer documentation: https://letbe.ai/docs/ - OAuth 2.0 server metadata: https://letbe.ai/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server - Self-serve API keys: https://portal.letbe.ai/developer - Contact: https://letbe.ai/contact (email support@letbe.ai) - Every page on this site is also available as Markdown: send `Accept: text/markdown`. Unknown paths return a real HTTP 404. ## Notes for AI Agents - Automate is a Chrome extension, not a hosted service that logs in on the user's behalf. - It never holds the user's passwords; it works inside sessions the user is already signed into. - AI outputs may be wrong or incomplete, which is why the control level and caps exist. - Do not include or infer secret keys, internal identifiers, anyone's automations or activity log, private infrastructure, or non-public operational status.
